WorkCover Psychological Support
Support for work-related mental health, psychosocial hazards, burnout, psychological injury, and return-to-work processes.
Feeling overwhelmed or out of our depth is not failure, but a meaningful response to sustained pressure, unmet needs, and carrying too much for too long. I provide evidence-based psychology for those who want support that feels human, grounded, and meaningful.

Common Questions
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly without a referral, but without a GP referral or an active WorkCover claim, sessions will generally be privately funded in the beginning.

Do I need an accepted WorkCover claim?
No. Support can begin while your claim is being assessed. Without an accepted claim, sessions will generally be funded under a Medicare referral or privately funded in the initial stages.

Will WorkCover pay for psychology sessions?
Yes, it is common for WorkCover to fund 13 weeks of sessions once the claim has been lodged and actively investigated.
Once claims are accepted, WorkCover typically extends covered sessions to support return to work.

Can I choose my own psychologist?
Yes. Many clients are able to nominate their preferred treating psychologist.
The psychologist must be registered with WorkCover

What if my claim is rejected?
Support can still be accessed through Medicare, private health, or self-funded sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS & REGISTRATION
Why choose an Organisational Psychologist Registrar?
Organisational psychology brings a specific lens to workplace psychological injury: understanding not just the symptoms, but the workplace systems, pressures, and dynamics that shaped them.
Organisational Psychologists complete over eight years of university education, supervised practice, and specialist training focused on the relationship between people and work.
This training includes workplace mental health, psychosocial hazards, organisational systems, burnout, difficult workplace dynamics and personality-related conflict, psychological injury, job design, and return-to-work processes.

For individuals navigating a WorkCover claim, this means treatment considers not only the symptoms being experienced but also the workplace factors that may have contributed to them.
This expertise can also support communication with GPs, insurers, employers, rehabilitation providers, and other stakeholders, helping ensure recommendations are informed by an understanding of the broader work environment and recovery process.
While all registered psychologists are trained to support mental health concerns, organisational psychologists bring additional specialist knowledge of how workplace environments influence wellbeing, performance, recovery, and long-term psychological health. Therapy can then focus on both recovery and developing a sustainable path forward.
Support can be accessed through Medicare, private health, or self-funded sessions
